About

 Paul is a supply chain thought-leader who has made major contributions as a corporate executive and as a professor. His work at Accenture, a global consultancy, for Fortune 100 and 500 companies has resulted in 50M+ in realized savings from optimized forecasting, sourcing, planning, and contract management processes.

As a supply chain executive for a retailer, Paul achieved 10% forecast improvement, reduced last-mile delivery cost by 50% while improved responsiveness  by 70%. His work has influenced over 100 executives to align their  supply chain strategy with business strategy to ensure maximum profitability. Similarly, Paul’s role as an adjunct professor at the University  of California Irvine has enlarged executives’ thought process in 

leading their respective supply chain organizations. 

 

Since 2002, Paul has worked in cross-functional environment to optimize and streamline clients’ operations. He has worked with finance, human resource, and sales department on initiatives such as metrics and report deployment, system deployment, and value-creation reporting from post optimization. He is also skilled in contractual negotiation with suppliers and has performed numerous contract review and negotiation for direct and indirect goods. His career spans several industries, including retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, healthcare, manufacturing, and NGO.

 

At University of California Irvine, Paul has been teaching associate directors, managers, and the like on how to think strategically from supply chain point of view. He had taught students from companies such as Du Pont, Port of Long Beach, and Kroger just to name a few. His teaching rating is 4.5 out of 5, and he is an instrumental thought-leader in preparing the next generation supply chain leaders. 

 

Paul earned his Master of Supply Chain and Operations Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as Bachelor of Art in Economics from University of Chicago. He also obtained Six Sigma Green belt as part of the managerial training at Accenture. 

 

He and his wife, Claire, have a wonderful son, William. Aside from business, he enjoys swimming, weightlifting, basketball, defensive driving, and is a passionate evangelist among the college and young professional groups.
